ABOUT ME

I believe life is short so we should make the most out of it instead of constantly worrying about the future ( you'll never know when you will die, might be an accident, illness, or reading a book so boring that I drop dead ).
Hence, I try not to get into situations where I regretted not trying out something new just because it was "dangerous" or too crazy.
However, I do take a little while to warm up to people unless you are a crazy, fun and spontaneous person as well, in which case, be prepared for ALOT of craziness.

PHILOSOPHY

To be happy, Hakuna Matata! For example, studying can be such a chore, especially where I come from as it can be very competitive. However, I strongly believe that only YOU can bring yourself down so it's really up to you whether you want to turn any activity into something tortuous or fun as hell.

Also, I would do anything crazy or spontaneous as long as there is no "evil" or "bad" element to it. Eg, robbing or hurting someone just for the fun of it.
I also think that it's very important to be true to yourself ( you would still be the same person even when nobody's looking ) as I hate hypocrisy. ( I hope and try never to become a hypocrite myself )

As long as it's fun and crazy, I'm up for it. I also exercise pretty regularly ( mainly working out ), which leads me to my next love in life - EATING. Basically, I exercise in order to eat whatever I want and like, so PLEASE LET ME EXPERIENCE THE DELICACIES IN YOUR COUNTRY.
As for travelling, I prefer to experience local culture and activities such as visiting the flea or food markets

Best books i have read so far include The Godfather, Lord of the Rings, The Little Prince, One Day ( Generally books that make you think about life )

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While I was in the Army, I underwent a training course called the Jungle Confidence Course ( JCC ) in the jungles of Brunei. Basically, I was thrown into the jungle with 2 and a half days' worth of rations for a 9-day long course. We had to navigate our way through the jungle, look for edible food such as fruits, roots, leaves, etc and build our own shelter with vines, trunks and stuff. Some of my platoon mates dreaded it but I was having the time of my life, especially while building my own shelter.
How often do you get such an opportunity? To learn to survive by yourself out of so little and to help your fellow mates out to pass the course. The best part of it is that it was totally free!
In the short 9 days, I learnt alot about determination( I slept half submerged in the mud during a thunderstorm ), discipline and how to share with other people, no matter how little you have.

I've also climbed up to the Everest Base Camp, which was quite an experience.

Rode a Vespa from Singapore all the way to Thailand.

Travelled around in Europe, which made me learn alot and become a better person ( I think )

My next big trip would be South America for my grad trip in 2015 so South Americans are ESPECIALLY WELCOMED HERE.

The most substantial thing that I can offer right now is knowledge about my country, Singapore, I guess. I can also cook some Singaporean food but you have to let me know in advance so I can prepare. I will definitely host you if you ever come to my country in return.
As for learning, I want to experience what the world has to offer, especially the local culture and food.
