About Me
I'm happy. That's the mean thing. I'm always trying to know more about everything and travelling is the key to do so. I left my parents home when I was 17 and move to London for a year to work, study and learn English. This experience changed my life.
I love simple things. I try to enjoy the little, the unique, the special simple things that make life wonderful.
I volunteer in a NGO that offers company to homeless people. This activity truly enriches my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A friend told me about it and the great experiences he had. I use to travel alone. For me is the best time to dedicate to myself, to get to know me better, to grow as a person and to live unique circumstances. I truly think we should live all the experiences we can, and this is one of them.
To travel alone got its disadvantages. Sometimes I don´t feel I get the most of the culture and the way of living from where I travel, and to spend a few days with someone native in the country is the perfect occasion to do it.
Interests
Obviously, I love travelling. Skyscanner is the last thing I check everyday before going to sleep.
Having my own business makes difficult to have a lot of free time, but when I got it, I spend it doing everything related with art. Painting, recycle things to make furniture or decoration stuff, photography, visiting expositions, etc...
I write. Actually, after years writing poems and shorts stories finally I got an editor and my book will be published at the end of this year. When I write the most is when I travel, it is my favorite time to let inspiration to visit.
Mountain is one of my favorite things. Trekking and good chats with friends. The contact with nature, green landscapes and beautiful views. When I travel, I always try to have a bit of that in every trip.
Music, Movies, and Books
Long life rock and roll!!!!
I listen to Rolling Stones, Scorpions, ACDC, The Cure, Pink Floyd, U2... And rock spanish groups as Izal, Vetusta Morla, Heroes del Silencio, Bunbury... I love Ska music and group dancing. Swing and Lindy hop is another of my passion, though I have no idea how to dance it. Hope in the future I can.
I like psychological movies, the ones that make me think. The fight club, The game, Cube, Inception, Dead Poets Society...
I love to read as much as I love writing. I usually read travelling books, the history of other travelers or historical books. It help me to keep thinking in my priorities and avoid to let me be mired in routine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leave my parents home from a little village of 50 people to London at the age of 17.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a spanish meal to share something from my culture, or some drinks and a good chat. Something that is very funny is to teach how to eat pipas. Nobody can do it, though for spanish people is daily life.
