ABOUT ME

I'm currently backpacking in Canada and the US. But before I started traveling, I studied for a couple of month in Ottawa, because I'm a fan of staying somewhere longer that just one day. It's less important for me to visit all famous and gorgeous places of the world. I enjoy much more meeting new, interesting people & have fun in just spending time together - especially if they become really good friends - what is rare.
I'm usually a happy smiling person, but I was really sad while I saw the movie "Into the wild" because I think, that (almost) every experience is better, if you can share it with somebody. But no worries, that doesn't mean that I have to talk all time, especially not while I see a breathtaking landscape (and it's anyway better not to talk, when you have no breath left...haha - what a joke ey).
Well and to earn some money sooner or later, I'm studying science journalism and from time to time I work as a freelancer. So I'm interested in all kinds of crazy nature and science stuff - and even more important - what it does to society. So I'm (almost) never bored if you tell me about your PhD thesis or whatever your research might be.

From time to time I join meetings of CS. I offer a couch in a cozy apartment in Dortmund and now also in Ottawa, where I'll stay until October. (travelling in between)

Interests

I love almost every outdoor sport - especially surfing, rock climbing or just hiking somewhere in the mountains, camp there and have a relaxed time. To get to the unhealthier part: I don't avoid a cold beer or two and a good party especially when it comes to electronic music - and I guess you can have a lot of fun with me there :) But no worries, I'm not an "electro-freak" - I usually listen to all kind of good music - and I can't live without it.
