ABOUT ME

born and raised on the third coast of Lake Michigan, St. Joseph, MI (a smallish town 90 min. by car from Chicago) moved to Grand Rapids in '97 for college here ever since. I travelled a good deal with my folks growing up and the occasional road trip recently. I have chronic wanderlust, but would call myself an armchair traveller at best.I'm unattached so NOW is the time for me to embark--gotta go!

PHILOSOPHY

Onward and Upward...start moving or stagnate. Inertia vs. Momentum--my struggle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most recent- 3 nights at my sisters in Oak Park, IL. roommies had left so I was less of a disturbance. Futon was great and I left personal space by going to the park, library, and church, etc. Before that was with my friend Donnie in Rhode Island. I stayed at the place he was housesitting and helped out on the farm co-op. I made some $ to cover travel costs and had a great experience.

Let's see... running, sustainablity, developing my faith and character, being near water and women, cuisine (fine and otherwise)and not letting life pass me by.

I've seen a big glacier calve in Alaska on a fishing trip and been a few yards from adult Brown Bears in the wild.
