​I am a passionate artist and interior designer based in the beautiful city of Bahir Dar. Since joining Couchsurfing in 2012, I have had the honor of hosting over 60 travelers from 35+ different countries. For me, Couchsurfing is more than just a place to stay; it’s a gateway to cultural exchange and lifelong friendships.

​I manage a local art gallery where I work to preserve and promote Ethiopia's rich mural art heritage. When I’m not painting or analyzing the markets, I love sharing the hidden gems of Lake Tana and the Blue Nile with my guests. "Rooted in the past, kind in the present, faithful to the future."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here to share experiences and build meaningful connections. I believe that meeting people from different walks of life is the best way to grow. My goal is to make life-changing steps by learning about new cultures while showing the true, hospitable spirit of Ethiopia to the world.
