I am currently based in Bangalore and work with children. I feel traveling takes me back home, to myself. And so I love it. I live with my husband who is a writer and fellow traveler.

While traveling what strikes you the most is the kindness of strangers - the stranger in Varanasi who gave us shelter when our train was 10 hrs late, the woman in Spain who offered us water after we had walked over 30 kms on the Camino de Santiago though we didn't speak her language at all, the beautiful lady who offered us her home in Lisbon though we didn't know her at all but then landed up talking through the night, the lady in the crowded toilet in Berlin who stood behind me in the queue and slipped in the extra 20 cents into the machine so that I could pee - the list is unending.

In some way, I want to pay it forward to other travelers who appreciate such kindness from absolute strangers.
