Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music- but soul will always be my first love. I love documentary films as they are glimpses of others or detailed snapshots of our world. For example Back to Normandy was a gem of a film. I also like autobiographies or biographies (I am basically a nosey person fascinated by other people and how their lives were shaped). I love international and independent films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing is seeing the people I work with (who have problematic drug use and emotional difficulties) grow into people with new and better dreams for themselves.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am so fortunate to have a job where I get to go on incredible journeys of self discovery with people. I am constantly learning from them and I think we grow together. I love the idea of couchsurfing as a way to learn from each other about the way our environments/cultures shape us. I like to share all kinds of knowledge with others. I can teach you acupuncture and Qui Gong and also to ride a horse. I can also teach you traditional Scottish dancing. I love to learn anything new. I would like to learn more about world culture, philosophy and sociology. I would also really like to learn some creative writing skills. I would like to learn hypnotism, about medicinal herbs, languages(especially Spanish and French), dancing (traditional dances and also the Tango), and any practical skills of working with my hands (for example woodwork, sculpture etc). I love for people to recommend books and films to me that have been important for them or have made an impact on them. It would also be good if someone could teach me how to fix my toilet!!!! In fact I am a sponge-love to learn anything new!!
