ABOUT ME

I am a 32 year old single parent from Jersey City, New Jersey. I have worked in New York City for over 10 years in the Financial Services Industry and have felt the utmost crave for change within the last few years.

Sacrificing my inner most passions cannot be put on hold any longer so I have decided to take a year long journey with my son and best friend, Joshua.

This is a great opportunity to experience exotic cultures, gain friendship and all sorts of meaningful connections from the people we encounter, be completely overtaken by the majestic and hypnotizing scenery, make an impact on other people's lives no matter how minuscule it may seem, and leave the comforts of life for awhile.

We start off from Europe, then set foot in Africa, and Asia. We are fully set on this journey...one that needs to be pursued to its fullest potential!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I came across the CS site after extensive research on the possibilities of traveling around the globe without having to shell out millions and end up penniless in some dark nook in nowhere land, waiting to be rescued by a good samaritan. A few days later, an article from one of the most credible and not to mention, largest metropolitan newspaper in the United States "The New York Times" came out! In short, this gave me the peace of mind.

A backpack, travel guide, and good head on our shoulders are all we need to break ground! We have travelled around Europe, Middle East, and Africa for four months. Next step is hitting some countries in South East Asia starting 2010!

Quitting my 9-5 job to take this adventure with Josh, island hopping in Palawan Philippines, crashing while taking the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia, Turkey; riding ATV through the rock valleys with Josh, seeing the Great Pyramid in Cairo, bunjee jumping at the world's highest bungy jump (233 meters high) in Macau Tower...more along the way!
