关于我
I was born and raised in Mexico, but recently moved to the States to finish my PhD. Just another Mexican trying to live the American dream, you know? Not really. I've been living in Houston, TX for over 3 years now. I study at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and do research on cellular biology. Yes, I love science. But I'm definitely more passionate about literature. Crazy writers with labyrinthic narratives are my thing. Although I'm always down for a good Victorian novel. I honestly try to keep my reading as diverse as possible. Reading, after all, is just another way of traveling. I've recently started to develop an interest for cinema and photography, as well.
I love to travel. I just want to see by myself all the amazing places and people this world has to offer. I like to keep my friends as diverse as possible too. I like to meet people from all kinds of different backgrounds, races, languages, religions and sexual orientations. I'm deeply convinced that everything that makes us different, makes us human.
PS. I have no pets. I do not own that iguana hehe.

Living with a grad student budget can be hard, now try to imagine how it is to travel. So I'm always open for new ways to see the world at an affordable price. But that's just half a truth. I'm also here because I want to meet the locals in all the places I go, to have the full experience.

Passionate about science, literature and films. Also photography, you can find me on instagram as: @lalo_cc
I've traveled all over Mexico, many places in the US and all the classic touristic spots in western Europe. I also lived for a month in Toronto, Canada. I'm eager to travel through Asia and Oceania. (I secretly want to go everywhere).
