About Me

Hi! My name is Lam, a Vietnamese student currently living in Tel Aviv, Israel.

I'm currently a second-year student at the dual degree program between Tel Aviv University and Columbia University, so I will be moving to New York City this fall (2024).

I study Psychology and Computer Science, with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies so I'd be happy to offer discussions about any of those topics. Besides that, I'm also particularly interested in politics, history, arts and literature. I can tell you stories I collected through out the 4 years living in the Middle East as an Asian gal. I'm also a sustainability advocate and nature lover. I'm currently learning photography as well so it'd be great if we can tour the city to capture moments together.

I'm from the south of Vietnam, at the culturally rich centre of the Mekong Delta. So I definitely can introduce you to the Vietnamese history and culture (I'm a decent cook so I'm more than happy to give you a taste of our cuisine as well!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been traveling quite a lot, especially in Vietnam and Europe (Italy, the Netherlands, Berlin, Prague, and Budapest) but I've never experienced couchsurfing. That is why I want to give it a try this summer as I solo-travel to France and Spain, especially to make friends along the way!
