Hi everyone!

My name is Lammert Lettinga, a 35-year-old DJ and dog walker from the Netherlands. Several of my Dutch friends advised me to check out Couchsurfing when I traveled to Australia, about 7 years ago. They experienced it as a great way of meeting new people, especially locals. I fell completely in love with the concept and the app. I got to meet a lot of interesting people through CS.

I don't have any big travel plans right now, and due to a difficult break-up I am staying at my parents in Friesland (a province in the North-West of NL). That's why at this time I can't offer any place to stay, but I can offer my skills as a dedicated tour guide, conversationalist and music enthusiast.

I'm a laid-back guy who loves to meet new people, experience and learn new things and see the world. I'm a big fan of all kinds of music, movies and tv shows, I love social contact and being outdoors, and I have many other interests. If you still have questions for me after reading this profile, please know that you can ask me anything :)!

兴趣

I love music! My taste in music is incredibly diverse (from Indie Rock to Techno, from Hip-Hop to Dubstep, from Singer-Songwriters to Ambient, from Jazz to Metal). That's why I love to go music festivals and spend a lot of my spare time to discovering new music, bands and artists. I also DJ a little, but my DJ-ing is mostly focused on electronic music (Deep-House, Tech-House and Techno), you can check out my SoundCloud to get an idea: https://soundcloud.com/djllout

I also love watching movies and TV shows, reading, going out, dancing, meeting new people, talking, and fun in general :). I like cooking, having really long dinners with friends, preferably accompanied by a nice glass of wine, but I'm also a big fan of nicely brewed beers or a single malt whisky. I absolutely love travelling but have done so way too little in the past years, so I'm trying to catch up now :)...

And since I visited Australia I fell in love with scuba diving!!

The Art of War by Sun Tzu is on the top of the list, but apart from that, mostly fantasy to be honest :$... The Lord of the Rings, everything from Raymond Feist, Wizard's Rules by Terry Goodkind, and The Song of Ice and Fire of George Martin (of course :)). And one cannot miss Harry Potter. I also like thrillers and detectives, Dan Brown novels for example.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I spend a night on a small abandoned outpost under the starry sky in the wild South Africa (not a park, the actual wild) while lions and cheetas were all around!

I was at Chitzén Itzá (Big temple build by the Maya's) in Mexico on the 21st of december 2012, the day they had predicted the world would end. A very strange but interesting experience!
