Social and open-minded girl with red hear,loud laugh and a constant curiosity towards new people,places and ideas.Living in Helsinki downtown,loving the city.Not loving the coldness of winter,though.My passions include playing honky tonk piano in Western film style and dancing swing dances.They have a pretty long and strong tradition here in Finland,come and try out!

Feel very welcome to contact me if you are interested about a round in town with a local guide.Cannot unfortunately take couch-guests right now-promise to do that when I hopefully get my own place later this year!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Norway.Great,friendly,crazy hosts.Especially a guy who lived near Bergen and had his own rented house.There were 6 ladies he was accommodating during 3 nights with a great success and a lot of extra noise,I'm afraid.We even had a wonderful all-day-trip to the fjords with him.Hopefully the host enjoyed as much as the guests!

Interests

Music,piano-playing,politics in Europe,vintage clothes,new languages (especially Dutch&German at the moment),swing & rock'n'roll dances,vinyls,organizational activities,new people and places.Partying!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:Thelma and Louise,Ang Lee(whole production),Almoust Famous,Spinal Tap & other rock comedies,Rocky Horror Picture Show,Jane Austin's books turned to films (especially Pride&Prejudice).
Music:Loving all the decades since 1950s,but especially I have a perversion towards the cheasy synth-pop-stuff made in the 80s.Human League,ABC,Madonna,Dexy's Midnight Runners...Allright!!
Books:I have shamely little time to read anything apart from school books these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flogsta snow fight during my exchange student time in Uppsala.The first snow of the year had just fallen down,a sudden electricity break,everything went black,me with my roommates surviving with only candle light in the corridoor,young student people going spontaneously crazy outside and having the snow fight of a lifetime.It was even in the Swedish national news next day!

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm,do not know about teaching,know that life is one big learning trip,maybe we'll share some great experiences and thoughts when we meet in Helsinki!
