Overview
About Me
Born and raised on Kauai, living there again for the past 6 years close to my family. I love to aloha aina, craft, dance and read. Nonprofit worker/farmer, and only able to afford that because I’m in community with lovely people and we support each other.
Sometimes I talk too fast and take myself too seriously, but it all usually ends in laughs. 😁
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Community is important to me, it’s what will sustain us in the long run. Couchsurfing is a way to move away from capitalism and into community support.
Interests
Traveling, learning, hiking, camp/backpacking, reading, dancing(!), swimming, good conversation, SCUBA, knitting, good food, sustainability and the environment, and a million other things!
I'm up for trying most things, the exceptions being death-defying activities. So basically, no skydiving. :P

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Be a good person and make music and I'll probably enjoy the experience.
Movies
Not horror, but most other things.
Books
I love fantasy and fiction. Magic, dragons, and revolution are especially my jam. Most recent favorite book was To Shape a Dragons Breath by Monequill Blackgoose. Let's talk about it when I meet you!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching the sun rise from inside the caldera of Haleakala on Maui, HI.
Listening to the mountain echo the song of a bugle back to us through complete silence while crossing the Königsee lake at the beginning of our trek in the German Alps.
Seeing swans floating beneath white cliffs in the Baltic Sea.
Befriending an old Russian pianist in Berlin over weekly pastries. He was continually outraged over my lack of knowledge of Bach and the life of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and took it upon himself to remedy the situation.
Teach, Learn, Share
Share: company, meals, knowledge, experiences!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, information about the U.S and Hawaii particularly, dancing nights if there are any local ones, English language practice, cooking and meals, my mad dishwashing skills, wine and hopefully a memorable experience!
Countries I’ve Visited
