About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take my time to dive into different countries, their history, their food, their languages and especially meet their people.

ABOUT ME

I am connected to home, especially the nature and and my friends and family in Switzerland. This always gave me the freedom to work, travel and do research abroad (and because sometimes home gets boring and can feel a bit confining ;)
Within the last years I was a lot of times travelling and working in the Middle East. I've also learned Arabic and a bit of Kurdish there. I love to learn a language through listening to local music.
Humour is important to me, this is how I connect with people. The challenge to express it in another language and culture led to many memorable yet misleading situations :).
I am someone easy to connect with, considerate and flexible.
Usually I like to travel slowly over land as I did on my last big travel from Switzerland to Iraq, also for ecological reasons. But due to work I am sometimes limited.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Out of many surfing experiences friendships developed and they came to visit. Unfortunately I can't host that much for job reasons. But you and your friends are always welcome to visit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I participate since 10 years and met amazing people, especially in the Middle East.
One of the first and most amazing experience I've had in Amman, Jordan around Christmas - the city was snowed in and freezing cold and Khaled accepted me (after everyone told me it is too dangerous to do Couchsurfing). We had the best, cozy and fun days with a group of other Couchsurfers and locals!

Interests

My first sailing experience from Colombia-Pamama over the San Blas islands was breathtaking. Since then, I go to Italy almost every summer for a week of swimming, sailing and just living on a boat.
I like dancing, I've started dancing Salsa in Colombia.
I am interested in languages, sayings, literature.
Played Handall for a long time, now I am doing all different kinds of sports, mostly cycling or walking and I am always up for new things!
Love to go to filmfestivals <3.
