HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2017 I took a trip to North Korea with my daughter ( Trip summary here: https://youtu.be/iRcvPpLDcXw ). I have traveled with my daughter in Europe in the Summer in 2016, and I took a coast-to-coast hitchhiking trip with my son in the Summer of 2013 ( https://youtu.be/nL1RAfTk0E8 ) that leveraged our CS connections. When possible, I make available my “couch” when staying in high-end hotels while traveling on business in New Orleans and New York. I also will meet with surfers that come through Houston and take them to lunch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have stayed with hosts in Germany, LA, Washington DC, Philly, St Louis and Austin.....each one, a great experience. It furthered my belief in the whole Couch Surfing philosophy. We also stayed with CS host during our coast-to-coast hitch-hiking trip in 2013.

Great industrial design and inspiring architecture. Cooking and local diners. We have a love of travel, photography, art and selfless people. Church activities, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Watching the sunrise from the 19th floor of a bank tower in Austin Texas as I scaled the outside of the building with suction cups.

Watching my three children being baptized.

Drinking coffee on a train going 120 mph from Zurich to Geneva, as we sped through the snow covered alps at dusk.
