About Me
My first trip out of the country was in 2014 to Italy. Ever since returning I've been addicted to travel and meeting new people. The longest 6 months of my life came when I returned home and had to save up money to travel again.
Life is too short to just get by and be complacent with life. I would rather spend every dime I have to realize my own potential and experience all life has to offer than save up and never know.
There is something about a chance encounter and random occurrence that makes my head spin and heart beat uncontrollably. Life has a strange way of working itself out and I'm always amazed at how everything really does happen for a reason... even if it takes years to understand that reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spent 10 weeks in Italy, sleeping on a blow up mattress, with 100 other filmmakers. We traveled from city to city staying in old churches and schools where we would sleep 10 to 15 in a room. It was a commune style living that seemed so odd at first, but so necessary to understand the beauty of this particular organic community and the human condition. I realized that a comfortable bed and privacy is tangible to the element of human interaction, no matter how chaotic it can be. I want to be able to travel and experience this same kindness amongst others who may have had similar experiences in their lives.
Interests
I'm a growing filmmaker trying to find my voice in today's helter-skelter society. So watching movies, filming and reading are close to my heart. I love being outdoors either hiking, biking or eating... I'm kinda a foodie.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have an old soul so classic southern rock speaks levels to me like Tom Petty, Allman Brothers and CCR. But I do have a very eclectic side as well that loves anything from Warren G to Modest Mouse and Red Hot Chili Peppers to Jack White.
I've been reading a lot of Aldous Huxley lately but I'm more of a non-fiction kind of girl.
Quentin Tarantino is the reason why I want to make films- Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs are amongst my favorites. I love the classics as well and a good ol' fashion trash horror flick from the 70's any given day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to space. Not really. But that would be cool.
I did fall in love unintentionally, in a completely inconvenient place with still life changing results... so that was pretty terrifying and amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn as much as possible from as many teachers as life has to offer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have witnessed so many beautiful disasters in life and made so many disastrous decisions, that have resulted in unintentional beauty, that I feel I could relate well with other lovers of life.
