CURRENT MISSION

My goal is to reach a juncture in my life where the main activities that occupy my time are going outside, playing music, and passing time with great friends.

ABOUT ME

I am currently a student at Portland State University studying Spanish with the hopes of teaching it one day. I work for PSU's Outdoor Program, renting equipment to people, teaching them how to climb, and getting people stoked on playing outside. I love traveling- whether it's to work on a language, spend time in a beautiful place, or meet the inevitably amazing people that you encounter in life.

My couchsurfing has only been through friends and friends of friends, but I would love to meet some brand new people and see some brand new places!

SPANISH! I also love playing outside- climbing, backpacking, really anything in the fresh air and the mountains. I also love cooking, baking, playing music and finding good microbreweries. I have been volunteering in a bilingual education school and have found that another of my passions is elementary education. First graders might be the coolest creatures to have ever walked the planet.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I play around on guitar and fiddle, and love to sing.  I can't remember a time that I've been playing music with a group of people and haven't had a smile on my face becuase of it.  As far as listening goes, my taste is eclectic.  Aretha has cured some negative feelings on at least a few different occasions.With my schedule now, I don't have a ton of extra time to watch movies, but a few of my old favorites are Caddyschack, Supertroopers, and Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind.I love Vonnegut aaaaaandd I also love Harry Potter, among many others. Again, eclectic taste.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I once climbed Castleton Tower on a beautifully clear, sunny and warm October day.  The view from the top was one of the most spectacular things I've ever seen.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I LOVE teaching Spanish to people.  It makes me giddy.  I also love teaching people how to climb and learning new things about climbing and about the outdoors in general.
