Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent 2 weeks in Paris via CouchSurfing and it was awesome. Had a few good people stay with me in Hawaii. Hoping to become more active in Atlanta after I get there.

Interests

Reading, beaches and mountains, food and drink, music for listening and dancing, movies, checking out new place, being with good people, finishing school. I like swimming, surfing, jumping between rocks, climbing stuff, stepping off the trail.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: James Joyce, Jean-Paul Sartre, Neal Stephenson, Roger Zelazney, philosophy, science. Sci-fi, fantasy. Lots of stuff.

Movies: Donnie Darko, Wes Anderson, Richard Linklater, weird movies, comedies, sci-fi, fantasy.

Music: this is cliche, but everything. I prefer music that challenges the listener with some sort of complexity whether that be rhythmic, melodic or lyrical. Reggae, Ska, drum and bass, rock, crazy electronic stuff ala Aphex Twin, Squarpusher, Amon Tobin, Bonobo, Fourtet, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to see amazing things everyday, the ones that sit there unnoticed.

Teach, Learn, Share

To Teach: a few scraps of esoteric knowledge, maybe some enthusiasm about math and science and literature and philosophy. A little Hawaiian language and history.

To Learn: a lot

To Share: Conversations about life, philosophy, literature, music, etc.
