Mission BLOOM - Associate oceans protection with Empathy.

ABOUT ME

I am calm and passionate. I love nature and people. From studies in forestry I slipped to a job about oceans, from a tree-hugger life to... a fish-hugger one?! Hence after having travelled here and there, I am now based in France and work with this amazing NGO, BLOOM. The idea is to develop emotional competences (empathy, cooperation, tolerance, altruism ans so on), still on projects linked to sustainable development.

What else ? I love dancing (particularly salsa) and rock climbing. I also do theater and meditation... and many other things.

Listen to people, that is highly important. Just need to keep eyes and ears opened, what you need is here, in front of you, inside you actually. Just open your arms and it will happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I sometimes surfed where I travelled, and I hosted when I was in Montpellier. I am currently not able to host, but I'll do it again as soon as I move to another apartment in Paris. I also started to post a few events from times to times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I ve been hosted by a CS once in Huaraz, Peru, in 2008... then in Brazil a few times in 2012; when I went back France I hosted many people - a great experience to host as I ve been hosted and share with people that I received at home. And a few CS became very good friends.

Interests

Environment, oceans and tropical forestry, medicinal plants, organic food/permaculture, empathy-emotional competences and neurosciences, rock climbing, paraglyding (did not do it since a long time), trekking; meditation, yoga, dancing, theatre, travels, art, cooking, reading...and so on

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

mmh... climbing the Merapi volcano in Java was also a beautiful experience, for the trekking itself but also because this night somebody that I had hardly met became one of my best friend.

Anybody different can bring me / teach me something.
And I can teach a bit of cooking, exchange about meditation... so many things to share actually!
