We are a small family: one spontaneous mother and two kids 16 and 14. We hosted more frequently a couple of years ago, but now when the kids are bigger the spontaneous mother needs to ask the kids before she accepts guests. :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Mother: I mostly host, because I want to meet new people even though I don't travel a lot.

I love the feeling of traveling without even leaving the house. People bring me stories, lives, and experiences that I would never have got in another way.

Intereses

Mother likes people. And dancing, and spending time outdoors, picking blueberries for example. She also is quite a good drawer, and makes small clay sculptures. She is not at all interested in decorating, shopping, or fashion.
16 year old likes to hang out with her friends, or talk to them on the phone day and night. 14 year old preferes to stay inside, drawing and watching movies. Or going to cosplay meetups.

Música, películas y libros

Mother: music: Patti Smith, Manu Chao, Bebe,
Movies: Hayao Miyazaki and difficult stories with a twist.
Books: I like feminist comics. But also Annie Proulx. And Jeanette Winterson.
16 year old: new music. Teenage movies. No books.
14 year old: japanese punk, Tarantino movies and JK Rowling

Algo increíble que he hecho

Mother: Dressed up like severus snape for a whole weekend, when I joined my son at a cosplay event. That was fun.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Mother: Teach: well I have taught spanish for a living but I'm quite good at making paper kites too...
Learn: want to learn how play the congas.
Share: I'm into sharing, as a way of life, but we can start with a picnic and some ideas.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can show you around, join you at a picnic, but I'm not sure if I can host at the moment, because we are currently sharing the apartment. Ask me again after the summer.
