ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!! My name is Lara and I live in Marrickville with ny partner, Bree.

I was born to travel. I have spent a year on student exchange in Belgium, and have been back to Europe a few times since, always discovering new places to go and meeting new people. I spent the first 6 months of 2012 in Asia, traveling around and doing some volunteer work too in Cambodia. I have been back to southeast asia 3 times since. I have also traveled with my partner in the states and central america.

I am currently an occupational therapist, working with children with disabilities. I am interested in pursuing a career in international development/disaster management and have started volunteering with the refugee community in Australia.

Bree has an interest in traveling too. We have traveled together and she has also traveled independently in the states and south america.
Bree works in Advocacy but also has a degree in law and criminology. She loves politics and has a big passion for social justice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed a fair few times in the states and Europe and hosted a lot of people in Newcastle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hopping on a bus from Dalat to Buon Ma Thuot in Vietnam. 27 people on a 14 seater bus, including everyone's luggage, chickens and who knows what stuffed inside the boot!
