ABOUT ME
Many people think I am crazy to quit my job and leave to travel around the world by myself. But is it really so crazy? This is probably the last time I will have the freedom to just pick up and go. Eventually, I’ll have a career, a husband, children, a mortgage! And I am in no rush to have those things at this point in my life. So in an effort to procrastinate the inevitable, I am going on a RTW trip for 2 years!
I am a 27 year old graphic designer living in Brooklyn, NY and all I have ever really wanted to do is travel. Coming from a mixed heritage myself (Chinese, Native American [Yaqui], Mexican, Russian & Jewish), I was never able to truly identify with any one culture in my background, so I embraced them all. I studied Spanish, Mandarin and Hebrew. I studied politics and the history of other nations. Now I want to see the world with my own eyes and put together the pieces of my mutt-led identity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Back in Brooklyn! If my apartment wasn't the size of a closet, I would totally have people crash, but always down to hang.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed a couple of times on my journey and loved every minute of it. Was such a great way to get to experience the local culture and truly integrate yourself in another society. Totally recommend it!

Any solo travelers out there who need tips on planning a RTW, I'm totally willing to help. I travelled the globe from Central to S. America to Africa to SE Asia to China & back. So if you need tips, just let me know! Also if you're a solo female traveler like I was and have any questions, I'd love to share my experiences.
