Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just started, will report back!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've toured the Baltics, the Balkans, central and northern Europe, the east coast of Australia and across the US as a DJ, booking the tours myself and mostly sleeping on couches or guest rooms of friends or people who became friends. When I'm home I have always hosted friends and fellow musicians. So I've been couchSurfing before it was a trademark. It's always fun to see how people live, especially the people involved in similar music or subcultures but in their own way. I also love organizing large meals, whether out and about or cooking one up over a period of 4 or 5 hours with a happy gang in a kitchen.
Centres d'intérêt
I'm a DJ (for 17 years, traveling through 19 countries so far), I'm an activist (I've been a street medic for protests, and a union organizer), I'm a scholar (doing research and writing for my PhD and teaching media studies). I love dancing and cooking and running around new cities. I also am a bit of nerd for science fiction books and movies.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Well, there are all those little miracles when people rise above their worst sides, whenever I see one I feel pretty blessed.
As far as what I've been involved in, there was the moment when my medic buddy and I got an entire crowd of people to walk swiftly - instead of run - away from an advancing police attack, which may not seem dramatic but felt pretty amazing, we probably prevented hundreds of injuries. I've also been lucky enough to DJ at some pretty incredible events, large and small, with amazing people, that always leaves me feeling pretty humble.
And I think another awestriking moment would have to be when I was in Jamaica listening to Horsemouth drum at Tuff Gong Studios and hanging out with him and his kids, truly incredible atmosphere and the best music ever.
