About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find a path that makes my soul sing, allows me to leave a positive imprint on the world, is not dictated by deluded or egotistical motives, that gives me a sense of purpose and makes me a better person. And then to follow it with enthusiasm and love!

ABOUT ME

I'm compassionate, affectionate, absent minded, honest to a fault, moderately lazy, easily distracted, oversensitive and insensitive, occasionally insecure and confused but generally well intentioned. I like presents, hammocks and cashew nuts. I love being appreciated and go to great lengths to achieve it. I think people should touch a lot more than they do. I'm afraid of failure and wish I wasn't. I cry easily and laugh even more easily. I love to go out, I love dancing, singing, and any kind of gathering where I can meet people and have a good time.

I am an incessant self-analyser and constantly examining my consciousness with the aim of improving myself and striving for truth and connectedness. I don't believe in accepting the norm just because it is, and I don't believe "everyone else does it" is a reason for anything. I'm on an incessant spiritual quest and I'm an ayahuasca devotee. I study holistic counselling, nutrition, and hypnotherapy.

I'm kind of obsessive about what I put into my body and don't like to eat processed foods, or anything from animals. I don't drink or smoke (anymore), but I'm not bothered if you do.

PHILOSOPHY

Wouldn't it be nice if hospitals and schools got all the funding they needed, and the military had to hold bake sales to buy their weapons?

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started with a lot of surfing, but now I host; I socialize occasionally, but perhaps not as much as I could.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve hosted. I´ve surfed. I´ve had a damned good time. Too many people to list here - they know who they are. ;)

Interests

Travelling, travelling and more travelling. I love singing, reading, writing poetry, cooking, dancing, jamming, gardening, body painting, making macrame and hairwraps, cuddling, talking, and constant yoyo diets and exercise plans.

Music, Movies & Books

I like books. I like spiritual books, trashy fiction, autobiographies, porn magazines, self-help, heart-wrenching human stories, over the top science fiction, comedy, drama, kids' books, poetry, everything in written form except those terrible romance novels favoured by lonely housewives. I loathe Hollywood feelgood RomComs with cheesy endings, especially those that involve the happy couple kissing while a crowd applauds them. I love all kinds of good music, apart from forro and reggaeton (which I will dance to anyway after enough drinks), or pretty much anything that involves bikini girls shakin' their booties in the video clip. Technobregga is the work of the devil and is not permitted in my house.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I was born!! Considering the amount of sperm in a standard ejaculation... to think my guy came out in front!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to speak English (or Portuguese for beginners), to make macrame jewellery - I can make you a hairwrap, sing you a song, and I give a pretty good back massage or reiki. I want to improve my Portuguese, and I'd love to be a better drummer, pandeiro player, and guitarist.

Countries I've Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United States, Vatican City State, Venezuela

Countries I've Lived In

Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Indonesia, United Kingdom
