My name is Liu Xiao, and my English name is Lark Liu.
I will be 20 years old by then. I am currently studying Clinical Medicine at Nanjing Medical University, one of the top three medical universities in China. My family practices Traditional Chinese Medicine, so I also have basic knowledge of TCM. I am especially good at Chinese massage and foot reflexology, which connects to the internal organs and can help assess physical conditions and improve well-being.
My dream is to become an outstanding surgeon and travel around the world, so I really hope to learn from your experience.
My philosophy is to see with my eyes, travel with my feet, and feel with my heart, so that I can grow both inwardly and in action.
I only learned about Couchsurfing after I turned 18, so my experience is still limited. I understand your concerns, but as an old saying goes: Everything is hard at the beginning.
At the age of 18, I traveled alone for a month in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, as well as four provinces in China.
I have been learning and practicing the spirit of backpacking:
I am easy-going and not picky. I have slept in airports and hanging chairs, so I am comfortable with a sofa or even the floor.

As president of my university’s photography club, I produced the official university promotional video, which is now featured on the school’s website.
I also took part in laboratory research on epilepsy.
And I was admitted to one of China’s top universities.
