About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be great at being myself and be great at work.

ABOUT ME

I have a Ginger Spice tattoo and I like going out to brunch. I enjoy people and most enjoy me. I work at SOU and love the work I get to do. I am newish to Ashland so I have been into exploring the area/trying a variety of yoga classes. Did I mention I like brunch?

PHILOSOPHY

Make it work and or enjoy life and or don't worry your life away and or Spice Up Your Life?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy meeting new people. If I have time I'd meet up for coffee and possibly let people surf. I've had a lot of folks stay with me since i joined up and have had a great time with each guest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One that stands out is when an old friend (Dusty) was couch surfing at my place while Isabella also stayed with me. We all hit it off and spent the weekend cooking, going to the beach, and drinking good beer. It felt like one of those coming of age movies on the sundance channel.

Interests

gender, the 1990's, food, comfortable sleeping spaces, school, friends, volunteering. I study Student Affairs Admin but I'm really more interested in Alternative Education in Higher Ed.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies BAH too many. I worked at a video rental place for 2.5 years back in the day and watched as many DVDs as I could cause they were free. Now I Netflix. I just bought Hocus Pocus though.

Music is nearly anything I find on the radio.

Reading a birthday gift I got this year "On the Road" and next on the list is "Hamlet's blackberry"

Teach, Learn, Share

I study college students (their experiences, environment, and developmental growth) from the perspective of an administrator. I've also read a fair amount about alternative education and gender. I can also make a really good apple pie.
