About Me

Hi! We’re Camila and Lars, a couple traveling together and looking to experience the world in a meaningful way through people, conversations, and daily life.

👨‍💻 I’m Lars, from Denmark. I work remotely as a freelance software engineer, which gives me the freedom to explore while still keeping up with my projects. I love deep conversations, discovering how people live, trying new foods, and I’ve been playing guitar since 2006.

You can see my YouTube channel here:

👩‍🏫 I’m Camila, from Colombia. I teach English and Spanish online, and I love learning about different cultures, connecting with kind souls, and enjoying the little things, like a peaceful walk, a home-cooked meal, or a good cup of coffee (I’m a coffee lover ☕). I also enjoy yoga, meditation, and cooking, especially Colombian dishes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We travel to discover places but even more, to connect with people.

For us, Couchsurfing isn’t just a way to find a place to sleep. It’s about cultural exchange, sharing stories, and building real human connections. We truly value time with locals, because it helps us see the world from a different perspective.

We’re not here just for free accommodation, we’re here to meet, learn, and contribute in any way we can. If you're open to sharing your home, your stories, or even just a meal, we’d be so grateful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
- Atomic Habits – We both love self-development and psychology.

Music:
- Rock, metal, jazz, classical… we listen to all kinds of music, depending on the mood!

Movies:
- Thrillers, sci-fi, dystopian movies— we love stories that challenge the mind or spark good conversations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lars spent 9 months traveling through South America (mostly Bolivia and Peru), where he learned Spanish and had unforgettable adventures.

Camila traveled solo through different regions of Colombia and learned to dance traditional music from each region, embracing the rhythms and cultural diversity of her country.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you:
- A bit of guitar (if there’s one around!) – Lars
- Spanish or English in a fun, relaxed way – Camila

We’d love to learn:
- Local words, recipes, traditions, music... anything you’re excited to share!

We’re happy to share:
- Homemade Colombian food or dessert
- Great energy, meaningful conversations, and of course—respect for your space

What I Can Share with Hosts

- A respectful and calm presence
- Help in the kitchen or with anything you might need
- Cultural exchange, music, and language
- Delicious Colombian dishes if you'd like to try something new!

We’re sociable and love to chat, but we also appreciate quiet time and will always respect your routine and personal space.
