About Me

I've been born and raised in the beautiful and humble town of Breda and I lived for five months in South Korea to study anthropology. At the moment I make a living as a photographer in Nijmegen.

PHILOSOPHY

I was raised as a non-believer, but on my quest for answering life's greatest questions God suddenly popped up and never left me since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Cooking a vegan Christmas meal in Zürich, going dumpster diving in Hamburg, celebrating New Years Eve in Ankara, watching the Northern Lights by the lakeside in Finland, painting a nursary in a refugee camp in Iraq and cycling the streets of Kyoto are a few of the many amazing experiences I was allowed to have thanks to Couchsurfing.

Hosting people has always been great fun as well! Showing them around in my home town of Breda or, more recently, in Nijmegen.

Interests

I love to make pictures during my travels of the environment, but especially of people living in the moment.

Although my homecountry isn't really suitable for it, I really love hiking in the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything which is thought provoking is what I like reading, watching or listening to.

My musical interest varies from modern classic (Ludovico Einaudi) to metal (In Flames). Anything goes really...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hitchhiked over 85.000 km through over 50 countries. Some notable countries include: Japan, Russia, Iran, Iraq and Kosovo. Picking one amazing experience from this is fairly impossible, but I would love to tell you my top favourites once we are able to meet :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My profile is already drenched with it, but I love hitchhiking! If you are thinking about going on a little hitchhike adventure yourself, than don't hesitate to ask me for tips on how to make your trip successful!

I GIVE HITCHHIKE WORKSHOPS!
For those who are interested I can give a workshop on how to successfully hitchhike.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tons of inspirational stories, it has been my goal for quite a while to collect wisdom from all corners of our beautiful planet.
