Música, películas y libros

Books: I love reading. Mostly I am into novels, but I also like to read Kierkegaard, Plato, Aristotle (those guys are my favorites) and I love discussions about Philosophy. A couple of my favorite books: "Growth Of The Soil" by Knut Hamsun; "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse; "A Girl Of The Limberlost" by Gene Stratton-Porter; "My Uncle Oswald" by Roald Dahl and also Nancy Drew and TinTin over and over again and for distraction.
Music: Reggae is my music of choice at almost all times. Lately, Alton Ellis and Lee Perry (the Arkology Discs) have been high on the list. Always on it: Sanchez, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Almighty Bob, Tanya Stevens, Jah Cure, Sugar Minott, Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond. . . you get the picture. I also love jazz, blues and good old fashioned Rock'n'Roll. Otis Redding, Billie Holiday, Chuck Berry, John Lee Hooker and all their compadres. But no day in Mexico is complete without Vicente Fernandez, Luis Miguel, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Juan Gabriel, Babsonicos, Godwana and the like!
Movies: "The Big Lebowski" is the greatest movie to have ever been released.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

You don't need a bottle opener to open beer/bottles of coke. You can even open it with your seat-belt! Ask a Mexican to show you. . . I have learned that almost anything can be used to open bottles.
