I’m a solo traveler with a camera, a backpack, and probably a bit too much curiosity - and naïveté - for my own good. That mix tends to lead me into interesting situations: being picked up by armed police in rural Slovakia, drinking vodka with Armenian men in the Caucasus, or chasing thieves through Berlin with the police on the phone. But when things calm down, you’ll usually find me in a ditch somewhere, perfectly happy, trying to photograph a bird.

Travel, for me, is about connection: learning local languages, sharing stories, and discovering the tiny details that make every culture unique. I love meeting people who can show me their world, or just laugh with me when I get lost trying to find it.

Back home I teach biology (which probably explains the bird obsession) and Norwegian, but on the road I’m just another wanderer chasing new perspectives, and unexpected kindness. I’m easygoing, love good conversation, and always happy to share stories, laughter, and genuine interest wherever I stay.
