Hi everyone!

My name is Lathifa. I grew up in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and my parents are from Central Java. I love exploring the world, a passion inspired by my mom, who is a backpacker and has traveled to many countries on a budget. I enjoy outdoor activities, live music, and trying new experiences.

Most of my travels have been in Indonesia. I've been to West Sumatra (including an off-road trip from Jakarta to Padang), the Thousand Islands, Bali, Central Java (Yogyakarta, Wonosobo, Purwokerto), West Java (Bandung), East Java (Malang), and West Nusa Tenggara (Lombok). I usually travel as a backpacker and always try to go somewhere during my free time,
I get bored easily if I stay home too long!

I’ve also been to Singapore and Malaysia (Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur) and hope to explore more countries in the future. I joined CouchSurfing to meet new people, hear their stories, and learn about different cultures. I love chatting, hanging out, and sharing stories with people from all over the world.

Since I live with my parents, I need their approval before hosting guests, but I’m always happy to meet up! We can explore Jakarta, try traditional food, or enjoy live music at a café. If you like outdoor activities, I know some great trekking or hiking spots near Jakarta. I can also take you around on my motorbike for a real Jakarta experience!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve had the chance to witness the breathtaking sunrise in Central Java it’s one of the most peaceful and beautiful moments I’ve ever experienced. Another unforgettable adventure was going off-road from Jakarta to Padang, covering an incredible 1,276.4 kilometers. The journey was filled with challenges, stunning landscapes, and memories that I’ll cherish forever. Both experiences made me appreciate the beauty of nature and the joy of adventure.
