ABOUT ME

Hi friends, I live on a small homestead/hobby farm an hour south of Ottawa with my husband, dog, and various farm critters.

For the past ten years I've worked as actor, historical interpreter and ox trainer at Upper Canada Village, a lovely 19th century village and my husband and I perform folk music as a duo in our spare time. I love being outdoors and meeting new people. I'm very friendly and outgoing and like to try new things!

PHILOSOPHY

My goal is to try everything at least once! And never let an opportunity pass me by.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted surfers at my homes in Ottawa, Kingston, and Lunenburg, NS. I've made great use of a similar site for cyclists during my USA cycling Tour. In 2012 I studied abroad at Nottingham University for a semester and I traveled around Europe afterwards, using couch surfing a few times and again in a tour through the USA!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive hosted and surfed several times and have met some wonderful folks in Canada, Italy, Germany, England, USA,etc. It has shown me that there are so many genuinely nice, generous people out there who have so much to share and teach!!

I listen to every genre of music and love hearing new artists. I'm always running around so I rarely have time to sit down to read a nice book- although I do love it!

Ive cycled from Raleigh, North Carolina to my home outside of Ottawa, ON.

Successfully climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Travelled around Italy teaching english through pop music.
