About Me

Gday
I’ve always loved travelling and dreamed of doing a big trip one day but I’ve always had som reason to return to Australia. I have been studying all my life and up until this year I was contracted to play football and had to return for the season. I’ve also always used the excuse that I don’t have enough saving to do something like this.

But now, I’ve saved up, quit my job, sold my things and told my club I’m taking some time off. I’m hoping to spend this year travelling before I begin my studies in postgraduate medicine. My goal is to slowly travel around the world until I run out of money.

I love connecting with people and I am such a people person and will happily chat for ages (but I also understand when people need their own time). I am super easy going and tend to go with the flow.

I love to write and hope to spend some time this year finishing a novel I have been tinkering with.

I also adore hiking and rock-climbing and go whenever I can.

I feel like my childhood was fairly unique having grown up in small town Australia and would love to tell you all about it and hopefully learn more about you and your life in the process.

I’m always down to lend a hand whenever needed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience different cultures more authentically and interact with people I wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to.
I love slow travelling and find it so much more authentic when experienced locally.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m definite one of those annoying people who say “oh I like anything” when someone asks my favourite, but it is true. I have genres I don’t tend to enjoy as much but there are still works within them that I love.
I particularly like reading and my favourite genre tends to be historical fiction, as some of my favourite books are A Gentleman in Moscow, The Book Thief, and All the Light We Cannot See.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played football at a highly competitive level and won goalkeeper of the year!

Teach, Learn, Share

Always down to learn anything and I can teach about life in Australia, football, science, baking, English, writing.

I was a professional football coach and a head barista in one of the busiest precincts in Australia and was a barista trainer so I can teach coffee and soccer like it was my job(coz it was)!!
