ABOUT ME

Hi!
I'm Laura and for me it's always difficukt to answer the question "Where are you from?" I've moved a lot and even right now, I have to figure out where to go, as I am about to start my Master Studies in Energy and Environmental Management in Flensburg after finishing my Bachelor, for which I was inscribed in Ulm but worked in beautiful, medival Heidelberg.

I'm a curious and attentive person who wants to learn as many new things as possible, to see a lot of places and to meet interesting people who share my enthusiasm for travelling and the idea that everybody is able to give something that makes others happy! Every now and then I nedd to take and enjoy time for myself to reboot and go on for new adventures.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment it's not really possible for me to host anybody, because I'm living in a small single room appartment without a sofa bed. But I'm ready to show you around in Heidelberg, help you finding your way round here, giving good advices what to do on a weekend here or just having a coffee in the city. It's beautiful - that's sure!

Through the years, I discovered Yoga for me, because it's so easy to adapt to any situation in life and it's really beneficial. Dancing also is fun for me...from ballroom dance to Zumba! I'm interested in art and history and like to visit exhibitions and museums, going to the cinema or theatre. Hearing people talk in other languages is great, even if I don't understand a single word. During summer I love going sailing and in winter I enjoy skiing. Sometimes it's just great to relax and reading a good book or doing nothing. I'm also interested in politics and environmental belongings. And last but not least: of course I'm willing to see many places all over the world and getting to know new people, making friends!

I enjoy reading so much! Some of my favourite books: Jane Eyre, 1984, Harry Potter, Eat - Pray - Love, The Time Traveller's Wife, One Day, Lock and Key, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Water for Elephants... All in all I read every book that has got a personal touch or something extraordinary that captures me!Movies: Inception, Cool Runnings, Dirty Dancing, Radio Rock Revolution, Grease, Mama Mia, Moulin Rouge, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Love Actually, Butterfly Effect, Pride and Prejudice, Pirates of the Carribean...Music: I lie listening to Musical Soundtracks, jazz or instrumental classics, acustic guitar - depending a lot an my mood... and while staying in France I discovered some nice French musicians, I also like listening to movie soundtracks or the music of musicals. Some of my favourite musicians are: Jack Johnson, Katie Melua, ZAZ, Duffy, Mando Diao, Torpus and the Art Directors

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Right now, I'd say my trip to Hongkong and Seoul which I did this July. It was amazing in total and I'm still overwhelmed :D

Learning - that would be a lot...I'm curious about many things, especially when there are people or places that turn it into an interesting story.

Teaching - whatever others are willing to learn and what I can teach. But it would be great to spread the idea of mindfullness towards ourselves and our environment.
