About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Say "YES" to London life!

ABOUT ME

I'm a young & energetic college student currently exploring the wonders of London! I'm here for the spring semester and trying to make the most out of every day. I'm friendly and optimistic, and I'd love to meet more locals of London. An ideal night for me is relaxing with good food, good people, and a comfortable atmosphere :]

PHILOSOPHY

Say "yes." Always. Do it for the story. And treat yourself, above all else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm open to hanging out and traveling around the U.K., if anyone is interested! I live in school housing, so I don't have much to offer accomodation-wise.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've only couchsurfed once with my flatmates, and it was a great experience! Our host was a perfect guide, and I'm now set on couchsurfing for life!

Interests

I love traveling (obviously) and seeing quirky and unforgettable locations. I adore thrift store shopping (I'm a bit of a bargain hunter) and would always appreciate a shopping buddy or guide to the best places! I love video games on all platforms (especially Xbox and the classic GameCube). If anyone is up for a night of gaming (my specialties include Resident Evil and Mario Kart) lemme know! I have no gaming systems here, but I'd love to become friends with someone who does! Other interests include trying new desserts, watching bad movies on Netflix, and talking over tea.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie rock and hip hop -definitely up for seeing some live/underground shows while here! Favorite bands include Young the Giant, Freelance Whales, Two Door Cinema Club, Band of Horses, and POP ETC.

Movies: Love scary movies and most comedies. I'm talking The Shining, The Departed, Little Miss Sunshine, and many others.

Books: Anything involving Stephen King is good in my book. Hermann Hesse is also a favorite. Currently reading "The Picture of Dorian Gray."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My grand masterpiece would have to be the entire wall that my roommate and I decorated with photos of celebrities we love (appropriately titled "The Wall of Heroes"). As magnificent as our last wall was, we aspire to go bigger and better next year!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love working with children, and I'm pretty talented when it comes to entertaining children for a day, haha. Other quirky talents include: decorating, finding the best deals while shopping, making friendship bracelets, making witty commentary while playing video games, mastering the perfect ratio to make oatmeal, coloring, writing, hand-sewing, and baking the best fudge-y brownies ever.

I'd love to learn some skills though! I'd love to find out how to better budget while living in London, improve my poetry and blogging skills, get better at taking pictures (through my phone, unfortunately), and possibly improve my Zumba skills!
