I'm Laura. I was born in Germany but I currently live in New Zealand with my best friend. I'm 18 years old and I just finished High School. Instead of going to university straightaway I decided to travel as I wanted to quit the boring routine back home and get to know as many countries, cultures and people as possible - so far it's working out pretty well!

Discovering new places is fun of course but I'd be even greater to get to know locals and their lifestyle. Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to gain insight into that. I also love to get to know new people and their stories. You can learn so much from other people's experience and their attitude to life. Additionally, it's a great chance to get insider tips about the city you're staying in, apart from all the well-known tourist spots.
