About Me

I am a bubbly and friendly mathematics graduate with a passion for the outdoors and adventure. I grew up in the beautiful Lake District, where I spent my summers camping, swimming, hiking and random adventuring, and am now itching to explore more of the world. I am an extremely open minded person, always looking for new experiences that break through the walls of my comfort zone. I love to meet new people from all walks of life, listening to their stories and sharing moments of happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been backpacking for the past 6 months across Japan, Canada and now the U.S. and I believe that through couchsurfing we can truely connect with a place and its people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can pretty much enjoy anything with a beat.
Movies: Into the Wild, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, to name a few.
Books: 1984, The Wind on Fire series, On The Road, Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my travels I have been volunteering at various places and have had some crazy experiences. For one month I stayed at an off-grid Ashram (yoga, meditation and spiritual centre), which was simultaneously the most challenging and amazing experience of my life. Another of my favourite experiences was volunteering at a remote organic cafe in the mountains of Japan. My travels have taught me about living self-sufficiently, growing and cooking yummy organic veggies, learning the language of the land and animals and making friendships with people from all walks of life.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can enjoy yoga and meditation together followed by a yummy veggie meal. I can teach you some chords on guitar. I have knowledge about self-sufficient and off-grid living. I can teach you mathematics and problem-solving. We can have art days together, I love to draw and get creative. We can share travel stories together over a game of cards. The list goes on...
