About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To understand the bare bones of OUR earth. . . perspective. . . how can an individual manipulate and alter a space just by being present. . . so many questions

ABOUT ME

I am a 22 year old kiwi Student who just wants to continue travelling, unfortunately for now, although maybe not so unfortunately, the real world has come calling and I have a degree to finish. I took the year off in 2014 to find myself, don't ask me if I found it, not sure if I did or not, still trying to figure that one out. Currently I am back at university in Canterbury hoping to understand how to create and develop the world we live in. Because of which I currently don't have a lot of left over 'spare' time and when I do spend it either working or riding one of my horses.

PHILOSOPHY

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So after a most fantastic trip around the globe I have returned home, unfortunately wasn't able to couch surf in a lot of the places I visited, sometimes well most times my poor organization skills attributed to that but now I am back and happy to lend that adventure, culture seeking traveler along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Recently returned from a 9 month stint overseas, due to working environments and often travelling or meeting friends couch surfing experiences were limited, surfed through western Europe and absolutely loved experiencing cultures first hand. Even in saying so having the opportunity to meet many fantastic people in each city I visit though through organized events has definitely made the experience greater than I could ever have imagined... I am looking forward returning the favor when I can now I am home again, I am very keen to continue many more couch surfing experiences both through my own home and within my country and city.

Interests

Architecture, city planning and urban design, so love seeing a city as a whole often by bike I have found is the best way to see a city when I first get there (historic architecture also of course too), I have a huge love for the outdoors and anything nature related , coming from a farming background in New Zealand also, horse riding is my main sport and hobby, but I love photography also, reading, music, and meeting new people from all over the world, sharing stories over a coffee or a glass of wine... Beer too part time work at home alongside university has been in a brewery so always fun to learn and explain to others the process involved as craft beer is as big in New Zealand as wine is in France or Italy.

Music, Movies, and Books

Everything and anything, love getting caught up or lost in another world even if only temporarily... but would have to be classics - British classics of course - the greats such as Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled!!!!! Need I say more

Teach, Learn, Share

I accept everyone who is open minded and prepared to branch out and try new experience, generally if you like me ill like you, not hard to, just down to earth and easy going.

I love to learn and share what I can, I am an outdoorsy person so most likely able to teach recreational things. I am working on learning languages though, French I have learnt before a long time ago though so needs a lot of work I think. My Italian on the other hand is very few and far between but willing to try and learn.
I love to cook, baking especially always looking for new and exciting recipes, managing a restaurant in my spare time means I have a lot of opportunities to talk and borrow ideas from my chefs.
I love beer. . . working in a brewery and being born and breed in the lower south will do that for you though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a fun person ready to share many fantastic stories of my trip so far, and many others now too. I am very relaxed and happy to share the day with you or just go with the flow as you might put it. I love to cook and, always helps.
