Hi! I'm Laura and I was born and raised in Canada, but have the left my footprints around the world. I am a teacher by trade, though, I find I learn more from my students than they do from me! I am always looking for ways to personally develop and share with the world.
You can find me out on a run, swimming in the ocean, drinking coffee (all day any day) or trying to learn something new.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

This is not my first rodeo at CouchSurfing. I had a joint account while living in France in 2015. While living and working in France, we used Couchsufing not only for a place to lay our head at night, but also to meet locals and learn about the French Culture. We even created a meet-up group with Couchsurfing to promote language learning and exchange in the town we lived in.

Couchsurfing has only been a great experience for me. I found roommates while living in the alps and have made some great friends along the way.

I am currently living abroad again and would love to use this as a platform to meet others!

Music: I could listen to acoustic/ folk/alternative rock all day. I don't have a favourite artist, but I really like the Pierce Brothers, Lewis Capaldi, Mumford and Sons, Jack Johnson and JP Saxe. Check them out if you haven't heard of them all!

Movies: I love Disney movies and will watch pretty much anything except Horror films.

Books: The Alchemist.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I love the ocean and swimming. I have swam next to a whale shark in Western Australia and a pod of dolphins in New Zealand. I plan to swim next to a whale next year in Tonga!

I am happy to teach English and French as well as swimming, knitting and yoga.

I want to learn new languages (currently learning Spanish), surfing, dancing of all sorts and cooking your favourite meal.

Always up to share a meal and a good laugh!
