About Me

I have spent the last 8 years investing my energy to study, volunteer and work in the NGO field. My heart lies with working on sustainable efforts in community development.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I worked with an organization where I spent a year living on a bus touring across Canada doing motivational presentations in high schools. Throughout that time, I would arrange whose couch our team would crash on. It is such a wonderful environment and now I am on here to continue the adventure.

Interests

Coffee (or gin/beer/wine), good food & company.

Things I wish I could do on a daily basis: sit & jump off waterfalls; ride in the back of trucks or motorbikes; music jam sessions; speak Spanish

I love attending concerts...actually, music in general is a huge addiction.

....and I absolutely love baking/cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm, music changes on the daily. But currently I am listening to noname, Sylvan Esso, SZA, Alt-J, Oh Wonder, ODESZA, Vampire Weekend, Alabama Shakes, The Intermission Project, Of Monsters and Men, Fela Kuti, Coeur de Pirate, Milky Chance, Ana Tijoux &&& Takun J (local Liberian rapper). Probably the most random mixed bag of music...

I love all books.

I am not an avid movie watcher, but prefer documentaries or movies that actually bring to light real issues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly believe, that above all else, being able to have encountered all the people I have met over my life is pretty incredible. Whether our meeting was only for a brief instance, you are able to learn and appreciate all those that you encounter.

How could anything else top human interaction?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, good food & ridiculously terrible jokes!

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, Dominican Republic, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom, United States
