About Me
Hi there! :)
I'm Laura and currently living on the South Island of New Zealand for an exchange semester. I was born in Freiburg, a beautiful city in the southern part of Germany. Two years ago I started studying Health-and Tourism Management, which is one of the reasons I'm on Couchsurfing. Due to my studies it is really important to me to see something of the world & I love it to get to know new people and their way of living. Besides travelling (or as part of) I really enjoy hiking. In my opinion, there is hardly a better way to explore stunning sceneries! In general, I'm a great fan of any sport activities since sports play quite a big role in my life. If I had to describe myself in two more words those would be: open minded and full of laughter. Oh and btw I'm not a too bad cook :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After my graduation from school in 2014 I've been to Spain for half a year. There, I experienced the first time how it is to live with locals. Now, living in New Zealand ( & yet again, living with locals), I realized, that it is so much more valuable in order to get to know a country, its people and their traditions.
Whether I like it or not, after the exchange semester I have to go back to Germany to graduate. However, I decided to travel for the remaining three months and spend my time travelling up to the north part of the Island, continue the journey to Malaysia, followed by Sri Lanka and finally to head back home. I would love it to make the experience once again to live with locals and get to know their way of living!
