My name is Laura. I truly believe that home is where your heart is and my home is in many places in this world. But right now my real home is in Estonia but my heart is just as much in Paraguay where I lived and studied for a whole year as an exchange student. My mother has always said I never do things like others do, I always need my own reason to do something. And this is probably what describes me the most.
I really love meeting new people. I love people in general, I like seeing them happy and excited and I love making people happy.
My hobbies are folk dance, playing marching drums and piano and now I'm focusing on becoming volunteer at YFU, organization that organizes student exchanges.
I'm vegetarian, the only one from my family and from my school and sometimes it feels like the only one from the whole Estonia. I love ice cream, peppermint and lemon tea. Lemon tea is the thing I must have on the sad days.
I'm collecting beautiful coffee mugs. It's not actually collecting, I just can't leave a beutiful mug to the shop.
I'm dreaming of having my own garden with all kinds of herbs and teas.
I've had pets my whole life, also chicken and lambs when I was small child. Now we have ferret, 2 cats and a dog.

Because it gives a chance to meet so many interesting people who are really open-minded. I can't wait to live on my own so I could also host people.

兴趣

I love going to concerts and festivals, this is one of the things that really makes me happy. I also love to bike, go to berrypicking, play with my dog. Travelling of course is one of my favorite things in the world but i can't travel as much as I'd like to.

Music: Rock and punk music. The Vaccines, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Beatles, Green Day.
Movies: War movies, comedies. I'm not big fan of watching movies but I love TV series, especially Estonian ones.
Books: I love Estonian literature, also the books by Astrid Lindgren. One of my favorite books is "catcher in the rye"

The most special thing for a Estonian is swimming in Atlantic ocean. Seeing Green Day and The Kooks left me with the best memories. But also making pancakes for everybody at work and running down the hill in the middle of the night with my friend while singing my favorite song were the moments I felt like there is nowhere else I'd like to be.

I want to learn to speak Spanish fluently, to cook more meals, to knit better.
I can teach Estonian, how to make Estonian foods, some Estonian typical dances, I know a lot of energizers and I'm the best paper boat folder.
