I left the UK in February 2017 to travel around the world and have been doing so ever since! I love meeting new people, eating local food and keeping fit in gyms around the world.

I have heard a lot of positive things about it and I am keen to see what it is all about! It seems like a great way to get a more local experience of a place, instead of just meeting (mainly) other travellers in hostels.

I love Linwood Barclay books or other similar thriller/mystery style books. In terms of music, you can't beat a bit of 80s rock/pop! Although I don't watch many movies I enjoy drama and romantic comedies.

My travel experiences have opened my mind to many different cultures and have allowed me to see first-hand the broad diversity of people’s attitudes and beliefs. I've undertaken some volunteer placements, eg worked at an elephant sanctuary for 3 weeks in Thailand, taught monks English for 2 weeks in Sri Lanka and am currently volunteering at a hostel in Costa Rica. These experiences are very much one of a kind and great way to really get to know locals, learn a specific skill and pick up some of the language.
I've also set up my own website recently about gyms worldwide, aimed at travellers worldwide to inform them of facilities, cost etc of gyms in any particular area.

I am happy to share my travel experiences and if hosts are interested in visiting anywhere I have been, I am happy to tell them of my experiences there and offer any advice. In practical terms I can cook for us, wash up and generally clean up after myself. :)
