About Me

Hi everyone !

My name is Laura, I promised to myself to write a detailed profile in less than an hour, but it seems now that I failed ! (x

So, in very short terms, I'm still searching my way in life. I got a diploma in Literature und I'm currently studying art and cultural studies in a binational programm in France and in Germany. I truly believe that culture and curisoty are a way of achievement for the human being, so I worked with culture development associations and I'd like to go further in this after my degree.

For two summers, I worked with monks in an abbey. With them, I learnt that everything comes on time. So I believe in a form of slowness, that allows things to happen. I'm trying to implement it in everyday-life :)

I love to host people with thoughfulness and warmheartedness and I hope to be the same as a guest !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is a very new profile, for I always wanted to start couch-surfing but never found the occasion until now! Through this way, I hope to meet friendly and happy people that would make my travels even greater :)

I prefer discover a new place through its inhabitants. It's often what remains from travels : genuine shared moments, cheerful discussions and laughs are adventures as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like every kind of music, specially old rock music and jazz but I'm not able to say who or what I prefer. I listen to music as element of an atmosphere than for itself.

I'm really fond of reading, specially literature. I've mainly read French writers but I'm now aiming at enlarging my reading list with authors from all the world! I'm always open to suggestions ;)

A very good novel I read in Spring : Eureka Street, from Robert McLiam Wilson. It's quite old but is a interesting satire the Irish society in the 90's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, it's more a project than an adventure : I decided, that I will knit a beanie with my dog's hairs this winter!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be very happy and feel privileged to get to know hosts in there home.

For me it's very important to share something together, either a meal (I'm always ready for every culinary adventure!) or every kind of stories and experiences.

I also like to create some objects and learn new craft techniques :)
