ABOUT ME

My life is all about travelling! Its my passion.

It all started after I graduated and booked a 4 week tour of Thailand with a best friend from school! I never went back! (apart from to visit, I love my family :) )I have been travelling for 2 and a half years now. It has, for a long time, been a dream of mine to learn another language so I decided to live in Spain for a few months and worked as an au pair with a really lovely family.

I just got back to the UK from a 6 months trip to South America.

My favourite things are: travelling, old friends, new friends, laughing, sunshine, beaches, jungles, cheesecake, dancing, swimming, eating, skydiving, spooning, Indian food, Thai food, barbecues, sunsets, sunrises, dolphins, puppies, cuddles, Spanish, waking up without a hangover, roller coasters, random adventures, a glass of wine after a long day

I hate: being hungry, the cold, carrying my backpack, running out of money

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday that I sit on the beach and feel the sun on my skin I think how much I love my life and how lucky I am to be doing all these amazing things! I wonder how different my life would be if I never missed that first plane home from Thailand and I'm glad that I have no idea!

I love to read books about the countries I have been to. 'First they killed my father' about the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia is so shocking! Also Shanteram and The White Tiger about India and The Damage Done about a Bangkok prison!

I love to listen to music but i am a bit hopeless when it comes to who and what. I rely on other people to make my itunes worth listening to! Basically whatever's on is fine with me!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The Golden Temple in India was really amazing! No matter what time of day, the temple grounds were full of people who had come to worship. The people were so nice and there was a free kitchen where hundreds of people sat down on the floor to eat food together. The Sikhs fed thousands of people a day! The dorm room was also for free! It was such a lovely experience!

Hightlights: watching turtles hatch on the beach in Sri Lanka, cuddling baby tigers in Thailand, Sky diving in Australia, swimming with turtles in Indonesia, swimming with sharks in Sri Lanka.

I really love meeting local people, it makes such an difference to your experience of a place! In Thailand my guide from a jungle trek invited us out with his family to a local festival! And in India many people invited me into their homes to have food with their families and play games! It is nice when people want to teach you about their own lives.

I love meeting people who make me laugh! Laughing gives you the the best feeling in the world.
