About Me

CURRENT MISSION

'Mission' sounds like a bit of an epic way to describe fulfilling a fairly selfish need to see some of the world... I want to see and enjoy as much as I can while I'm on this good old planet!

ABOUT ME

Happy-go-lucky, overexcited, always on the go, clean and tidy, loves to dance, party, cook and read, always willing to laugh and make a tit of myself.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a bit serious for 11am on a Friday morning - well, it sounds trite and cliched (and it probably is) but make the most of every opportunity you get, and be spontaneous, you never know what could come of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for kindly hosts to put me up while I'm travelling about, so I can save money and make friends.

Interests

I love to find out about new places and people, which is why I'm travelling this year from June through to March 2013.

I have been doing kickboxing for over 4 years, and have made some great friends as well as improving my fitness (well, a bit anyway). I enjoy being outdoors in the fresh air as I have spent my working life inside air conditioned offices which are a bit claustrophobic. I love going for long wanders to nowhere in particular, finding and trying out new recipes and writing on the odd occasion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - if it's got a bit of oomph I will probably love it. It's terrible but I love crunk and R&B club tunes alongside rock, metal and hip hop, and am open to most musical styles apart from some of the dreary, drone-y indie stuff.

Movies - Can't pick one, but here's a selection - Blow, Taxi Driver, Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Submarine, The Help to name a few that have popped into my head.

Books - The Life of Pi, Under The Banner of Heaven, Brick Lane, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Room, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Frankenstein, and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Routeburn track in NZ's South Island blew me away!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well if you want to know how to cast a voice over for an advertising project, or you need a music search for the same, I'm your (wo)man.

Other general Production skills, just ask...

I cook a mean English breakfast so more than happy to do that if you'll have me to stay at any point!

I'm also good at working out how to set up smartphones, even though I possess little decent working technical knowledge.
