ABOUT ME

I am a smiley, calm and inquisitive person. I have a big laugh. I get really excited about ideas when they are new to me or seem peculiar in some way. I think kids are really funny and cool; they can show you a lot about what people are really like before people learn to act normally. I think that being able to accept responsibilty and pretend you are normal without forgeting that you are only pretending is the delicate act of being an adult. But I guess I can't really comment on adulthood yet.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is still in process so here is my couch surfing philosophy:It is so cool when someone has good manners. I think that you should always be your best self to the world. This is why I try to be on time and really enjoy the time that people spend with me. It is so important to show people that you appreciate them.Other than that, the best things come to you when you just go with the flow. :) It is important to be wild.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed a bunch in Belgium, Morocco and I had a language exchange with a couch surfer in Nantes. When I lived in Nantes, France I hosted some lovely Italians.

Right now I am living in Montreal with some rad girls.

I like swimming, reading and writing. I am pretty proficient at kayaking and canoeing thanks to a childhood of summer camps. I like sailing and I want to learn how to sail larger boats since I grew up messing around in lasers and CL-16s. I love being out on the water.

I really like biking. I don't know much about fancy gear or long haul bike trips but when I move to a new place I always buy a rusty old bike and it becomes my best friend. Someday, I'd like to bike from Toronto to Nova Scotia. Similarly, I really enjoy cooking but I am not a pro. I am very happy to help chop things and chat. I love preparing a meal with someone and learning new recipes. I am interested in the ethics and environmental consequences of what we eat but I'm not a vegitarian.I love dancing!! I like to dance at bars or in my bedroom. I love watching ballet and contemporary dance. Sometimes I go to the opera or see a play. I like going to art galleries especially if I'm with someone who loves art. I generally enjoy going to any live music. I like a cold beer on a hot afternoon. I don't smoke and I am pretty sure that my true vice is sun tanning. I would never ever fake tan but there is something so satisfying about soaking up the sun for a whole afternoon.Just like everyone else on couch surfing, I enjoy meeting new people.

YOU! ha ha I have seen the midnight sun and I saw a pod of narwhales when I lived in the Arctic. Anything you write in this section kinda feels like bragging though... which is a bit lame.

I can teach swimming, canoeing and kayaking. I can teach you how to make friendship bracelets but not too many people are interested in that. I can share what I know about english lit. and I have lost nearly every valuable doccument possible at least once so I'm pretty good at helping people recover if they lose something. I want to learn about sports. I don't really play any team sports but I would really like to be able to play casually once in a while. I am also keen to improve my French and learn any instrument because I can't play any.
