ABOUT ME

Difficult to describe..I am Hungarian,and live here in Stockholm since June 2014,before that I spent 2 years in Luxembourg and 4 years in Finland(I think about it,as a second home country of mine). Moved to Sweden because of my husband. In general,I am a very friendly person,who prefers to have good conversations,instead of superficial smalltalks. I am said to be very ironic and sarcastic (honest also,when I should not be)which is not always understood by everyone,but I can t change that. I m not the most logical person, sometimes I get surprised by my own thought process, but when I have a guest here this chaotic side of myself will not emerge :-) so if I tell you that I meet you somewhere and take care of you,then you can be sure that it will be like that.

PHILOSOPHY

Being positive (sometimes negative, but with moderation)but not staring myself blind on everything that is said to be "good"or "politically correct" by other people or the (social)media. More like a critical thinker :) I (of course like peace and love,as most people I guess, but not in an"online social justice warrior" way, Maybe in certain questions I am a bit conservative,and in others I am liberal, but not really engaged to any political wings or any kind of popular(or unpopular) "-ism"-s, well maybe "travelism" in case there is such a thing. For me the most important thing is that I am free to have an opinion (even if it is negative or different from the most "socially expected diplomatic cliché") without forcing it to others and without being (too much) judged for it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I really do enjoy cs and met several nice people via the organisation,but I host very rarely. ( Maybe 2 or 3 times per year)

Lately I have been receiving several "freeloader" or asylum seeking sounding requests. Just to be clear, I think (and I assume those who understand the point of the site agree with that) CS is not supposed to be a free hotel,an asylum, or a place to sleep. Please give me a personal reason ( it does not need to be something super-serious, over-done match made in heaven bla bla) but just tell me why you think we should meet. The reason is that if I host someone I would like it to be a good experience for both of us, without awkward (and long) moments of silence. So sg like "hi! I am coming to Stockholm next week. I am open minded and want to explore the city. Can you host me?" is just not appealing. Instead send something personalized (probably that will work with other hosts as well) Thank you for your understanding!

Otherwise, I can only talk about positive experiences. (no negative weirdos,which I was afraid of,before I started,only fun,and in good way-interesting people)

Interessi

Traveling is the utmost best activity for me,but also have a cup of coffee with my closest friends. I like movies a lot,and not only mainstream hollywood ones..what else? skiing in winter time,or swimming (but not like an "expert")just for fun kind of way. Very cliché, but I love animals,especially dogs. ( cocker spaniels and westies are my favourite) but also mixed types. I would be happy to host someone who has experience with them.
Recently I also enjoy talking about wedding planning and decorations, but it is not a "requirement"to be interested in that. Just sayin..

Musica, film e libri

In general I think the best movies inspire a great deal of conversation.
You either hate it or love it,but carry a strong opinion about it, and not just something in between, that you forget after one hour. On the other hand,the genre does not have to be serious at all. I like chickflicks and other types of comedies as well.
I do not like movies that come across as some politcal agenda (according to the current taste of Hollywood),propaganda,and then get an Oscar.

Lion,Office Space,American Beauty, American Psycho,The Reader, Happiness, Lolita,Babel, The Sea Inside,Annie Hall,Leon the professional,Thelma and Louise,The Pan Labyrinth,Lolita, Take the money and Run,Midnight Express, Diner de Cons,Amelie,Chocolate,Little women,Before Sunrise,Before Sunrise,Before Midnight, Seven, Beaches,Stand by Me,The Prestige, Nine Queens,Happiness, Flawless, Requiem for a dream, Cinema Paradiso, American History X, Boys dont cry and many others (seems that I like movies with the title "american"in it)but in fact I like Scandinavian movies as well,such as Festen, or Jagten,Lust och Fägring, 101 Reykjavik, Millenium trilogy etc. In terms of music: Muse, Coldplay, Radiohead, Placebo, Manu Chao,Buena Vista Social Club plus some TV series Big Bang Theory, Friends,Office, Lie to me, Family Guy, Hannibal, Quantico, Orphan Black. I used to be a big fan of X-files as a teenage. Oh, also of never ending cheesy latin telenovellas and Backstreet Boys :)..but dont worry those times are way over.

The example below suggests esoteric knowledge. Well, that I certainly do not have,maybe some more "on earth" thing such as cooking together. Except if there is raisin or cumin in it. Maybe teaching doing things in an illogical,non-efficient and complicated way?

We can share travel stories, discuss social and cultural differences or if you work for a big company or a small one maybe then about corporate culture (what you like/dislike about it etc.)
I am obsessed with the 90's so I am happy to share pictures, tell and hear stories, feeling nostalgic together about the music,accessories, computer games , clothes and movies..etc. For this reason I prefer to host a bit older(let's say born before 1990) people as I think we have more in common.
