ABOUT ME
My name is Laura. I'm a grad student, and . Since 2013, I've traveled internationally to India, and here in the US to Massachusetts, Florida, down the Pacific Coast Highway, Yosemite National Park, Oregon, Washington, Missouri, and back home to Kentucky. Heading to visit my sister in Sydney and we'll be visiting New Zealand in March. In the past (starting about 5 years ago), I shared a couchsurfing page with a good friend from college, but I am now embarking on a solo couchsurfing profile. I've had several couch surfing experiences - a couple of them as a surfer, and one as a host. All have been awesome. I hope to meet you too!
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I think it's an incredibly rich way to get a good feel of the city I am visiting. I live in a tiny studio now so I can't host at this time, but as a host, it is also fun to get to know people from around the world.
Interessi
I play guitar and sing; I love yoga, swimming, hiking, biking, and being outdoors. I am outgoing and often up for having new experiences. One of my favorite things to do is listen to new albums and make playlists using Rdio (like Spotify, but even better, in my opinion!). I also like wine and doing home decor -- not necessarily in that order.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Where to begin?
A few breathtaking things that come to mind are these:
The central marketplace in Marrakech, Morocco. There were real snake charmers! And booths and tents selling anything and everything you can imagine. I got a beautiful henna tattoo on my hands. Everything smelled like spices, the sounds were busy, loud, and almost orchestral. I'll never forget it.
El Matador Beach in Malibu, CA. This beach has to be the most serene place on earth. Holy smokes. It is unbelievable. During high tide, you have to duck under small cavelike arches in large rock outcroppings to move from one area of the beach to the next. Traffic sounds are minimal this far north of LA, and the water is blue as can be. On the drive down the Pacific Coast highway to this beach, my friend and I saw whales migrating south down the coast. Incredible.
