About Me

I am a PhD student in computational psychiatry and neuroscience, or, maybe more accurately, I am a psychologist who ended up being a data scientist and is not sure how to move forward from this point onwards.
I like discovering things, mostly how people and human systems work. Maybe due to similar reasons, I like culture in all its branches - from literature, to food, music, history.
I come from a mixed ethnic background, and for that and other reasons I sometimes found it difficult to fit into one simple label. I will be in Düsseldorf for the next one and a half years, and would really like to connect to others who wander around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I think that there is a further, essential, value in living a place with someone who knows it and that has an experience with its spaces, corners and traditions. I love knowing people and different ways of living, and I think it's amazing to find someone that likes to share this with you.
Then, because travelling should be cheaper but richer. And because I like meeting travellers and their stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like mixes between things. Samba, soul, classical, electronic, blues, a touch of melancholic and folk. Books and movies: too many and too few. I tend to like classics, but I took a temporary break.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Salkantay Trek, in Peru. Once I got to the end of five days of hiking in the Andes, I realised that before I didn't have a clear idea of what it means to 'do' things.
